1. What the desk is
domainregistrar.ai (the "desk") is a directory and brokerage front for domain names operated within the url.ventures network. The desk lists names held by url.ventures and, where approved, names held by partners. The desk does not hold funds, process payments, or custody domain names. Every settlement runs through Escrow.com or an equivalent licensed escrow service selected by the parties.
2. No exchange, no custody, no advice
The desk is not a securities exchange, a money transmitter, a payment processor, or an appraiser. Nothing on the desk is an appraisal, valuation opinion, investment advice, or a promise of value, appreciation, resale, or sale. Figures shown are dated, graded, and attributed; they describe the past and do not predict the future.
3. Offers and inquiries
Submitting an offer or inquiry creates no contract. The desk may accept, decline, counter, or not respond. A binding agreement exists only when both parties have agreed terms in writing and an escrow transaction has been opened. The concierge is software; it may record an offer but it does not bind the desk. "Buy now" is an invitation to open escrow at the stated price, subject to availability at the time escrow opens.
4. Finders
A finder is an independent partner who introduces a buyer through a finder link. A finder's fee of 10% of the settled price (unless otherwise agreed in writing) is payable only on a completed, verified escrow settlement of a name to a buyer first introduced through the finder's link within thirty days of the click. No fee is payable on inquiries, offers, or unsettled transactions. Finders are not employees, agents, or brokers of the desk and may not represent otherwise. Self-referrals and fraudulent introductions void the fee.
5. Partner sellers and published economics
A partner who lists a name represents and warrants that they are the registrant of record or authorized by the registrant, that the name is not subject to a dispute, lien, or third-party claim they have not disclosed, and that the listing does not infringe any trademark or law. Ownership is proven by a DNS TXT record; the desk may decline or remove any listing at its discretion, including adult, deceptive, or infringing names. The desk's commission on a partner name is 10% of the settled price when the desk closes the sale directly, and 15% all-in when a finder introduced the buyer (10% to the finder, 5% to the desk); the desk never charges more than 15% in total. There is no listing fee. Partners remain responsible for their registrar relationship, renewals, and transfer.
6. Trademark and takedown
The desk respects trademark rights. Rights holders may send a notice through the desk contact form with the name, the mark, the registration number, and the basis for the claim; the desk will review promptly and may remove or annotate a listing.
7. Acceptable use
No scraping beyond the published catalog feed, no automated offers, no attempts to extract private reserve data, no harassment of partners or staff, no use of the desk to launder, defraud, or infringe.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The desk is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the desk and url.ventures disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between third parties, an escrow provider, a registrar, or a delay or failure in transfer. Aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees actually received by the desk on the transaction giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and each party consents to that jurisdiction.
10. Changes
The desk may update these terms; the date below changes when it does. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
